Web Works OC (“Web Works OC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an Orange County web design studio. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit or contact us through webworksoc.com (the “Site”), how we use it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need, and most of it is information you actively choose to give us.
Information you provide. When you complete our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the type of business you run, and the contents of your message. If you include other details, such as a phone number, in your message, we receive those as well. You are never required to create an account, and we never ask for sensitive information such as payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or government identifiers through this Site.
Information collected automatically. As with virtually every website, our hosting and security provider automatically records limited technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. This information helps keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, and ensure it functions properly. It is not used to build a marketing profile of you.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and how the Site performs. It is privacy-first and cookieless: it measures traffic in aggregate and does not set cookies, follow you across other sites, or build a profile of you.
What we do not collect. We run no advertising networks, no social-media tracking pixels, and no cross-site tracking, and we do not build a profile of you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only for limited, legitimate purposes:
- To read and respond to your inquiry, and to communicate with you about a potential or active project.
- To operate, secure, and maintain the Site and protect it from spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To keep ordinary records of our communications with you.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
3. How We Share Your Information
In short: we do not. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone for their own purposes or marketing, and we never have.
To operate the Site and deliver your message to us, we rely on a small number of trusted service providers. They act only on our behalf and may use your information solely to perform their specific function:
- Cloudflare hosts the Site, provides the anti-spam check (Turnstile) on our form, and provides privacy-first, cookieless analytics. In securing the Site, it processes technical data such as your IP address.
- Resend delivers your contact-form submission to our business inbox as an email.
These providers are contractually limited to using your information only to perform these services, never for their own purposes. Once your message reaches our inbox, we handle it like any other email you would send us.
We may disclose information only when required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, the public, or our business. Outside of these situations, your information stays between you and us.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We keep cookies to a minimum. This Site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie you may encounter is a functional one placed by the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam check, used to confirm you are a real person when you submit the form.
Because we do not track you, we honor browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals by default.
5. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your inquiry only as long as we reasonably need it: to respond to you, to carry out any project that results, and to maintain normal business records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it. You may ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see Your Privacy Rights).
6. How We Protect Your Information
We take practical steps to keep your information safe. The Site is served entirely over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and it is deliberately built without a database. Your contact-form submission is not stored on our servers, so there is no standing pool of visitor data to be breached. Access to the messages you send us is limited to the people who need it to help you.
No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but we protect your information using appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.
7. Your Privacy Rights
You are in control of your information. At any time, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate;
- Delete your information; or
- Provide a copy of the information you gave us.
To make a request, contact us. We will respond promptly, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
8. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) gives you specific rights. These include the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request its deletion or correction, the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Because we do not sell or share your personal information, there is nothing for you to opt out of. We honor every one of these rights, and we extend them to all visitors, not only California residents. To exercise them, contact us.
9. Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Visitors Outside the United States
We are based in California, and any information you send us is processed in the United States. If you are visiting from outside the U.S., please be aware that U.S. privacy laws may differ from those of your country. By using the Site, you understand that your information will be handled as described in this policy.
11. Third-Party Services
The service providers described above (Cloudflare and Resend) maintain their own privacy policies governing how they handle data on our behalf, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website you may reach through an external link.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the current version.
13. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, email us at info@webworksoc.com.
